Cooling of the weather

Oh sweet smell of rain, laying the dust and cooling the air! We had some good thunder storms, losing power for a few minutes but all is normal now, just much fresher. We used to have an impeccable view from our terrace until our neighbour put up that flat roofed monstrosity.  I am hoping they might take it down now that the place is for sale.  Our thunder fearing dog has come out of hiding and we can open the windows again.
The sharp horizon shows a more bad weather to come. Storms are predicted for the weekend. The rain will be most welcome.  With the coming of the cooler season perhaps our garden will begin to look a little livelier.  It has been a bit lacklustre and dry.
It also means we might soon return to the beaches as the tourists leave.  We look forward to this a great deal; the summer is to hot and crowded.
Hopefully I will find it easier to do the art work again.  I have been working on a coloured pencil work which I will post the finish soon.  This is the work so far.....

I have really enjoyed catching up on your photos and paintings. I love the animal series!!!! That ostrich is just so great!!!

It is good to be home, although I did enjoy painting in Venice a lot. I will be back to visit soon.
