Birthday

It is great to be spoiled on your birthday.  Usually it is uneventful, a quiet meal somewhere and a few cards, but this year was a special one and very special it was indeed.  I was spoiled by my two daughters.  My husband stoically stayed at home in Spain to look after our two dogs, while I flew off to England to visit my family.  While I was away he cleaned house, did the laundry, washed windows and.....
still found time to make me a beautiful box for my trinkets.

My daughters took me to London to the Tate Modern Gallery for luncheon and a wonderful afternoon of art appreciation.  My artistic grand daughters joined us to make it a very arty girlie feast.
,,,,, and what great works we saw.  Not everyone will agree, but art like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
"Now don't lose your head over all this, it is art! I am only joking.
"....amazing what can be done with a paint brush and a can of red paint."
A woman's dilemma, "What shall I wear today!"
"I'll just nip upstairs for a look."
" I think red suits me."
" I woodn't bother if I were you."
"and then it got very windy."
Sad humour down to me but the lovely photos are by my daughter Holly.
